Nestled in the beautiful landscape of the Sauerland, the Dorlar Forest Adventure Trail, at an elevation of 450 meters, invites visitors to explore through play. Along a route of approximately 2.5 km, nine interactive stations showcase the diversity of nature. See how far you can jump compared to the forest animals, or play the forest xylophone.

Equipment
We recommend wearing sturdy shoes with good traction, as well as bringing plenty of food and drinks.
Safety guidelines
A system of emergency aid stations has been set up in the Hochsauerland district. You can find these emergency aid stations on information boards at intersections and on hiking trail signs, among other places.
Author Tip
At Station 5, a picnic area with a beautiful view invites you to enjoy a picnic.
How to get there
There is no parking at the start of the Forest Adventure Trail. Please use the parking facilities in Dorlar or Sellinghausen and walk to the start of the Forest Adventure Trail or to the entrance at Station 5.
Parking
Parking is available at the church in Dorlar. From there, it’s about a 1.2-km walk to the start of the forest adventure trail.
From Sellinghausen, it’s about an 800-meter walk to Station 5. You’ll find parking in Sellinghausen at the ski lodge.
